There is a feeling of magic when things fall into place. Today is a very good example. This morning we met with a friend, who has been very supportive of our work and who also happens to be an attorney. As we began to relate our news about NYMF and the journey ahead, he offered to help us by providing us with contacts and legal help. He surprised us by telling us of his past work with NYMF and all of the legal help he had provided the wirters of the show he helped produce in 2009. At 9:00 AM we had no idea what would happen in only a few hours. He offered to help us set up an LLC, which will help provide us with the necessary structure to produce our show. When he left the meeting, he said that he would get back to us in a couple of hours.
Following that meeting, we had two SKYPE interviews--one with one of our new fabulous social media volunteers, and the other with a prospective publicist. What was so incredible about these interviews was the joy and enthusiasm they each expressed about working on the show. NYMF is all about: "Hey kids!!! Let's put on a show!" And this is what seems to be happening.
After SKYPE, we got a call from our attorney friend, and by 1:00, we were in an attorney's office filling out the paperwork for the LLC. From there, we went to a meeting with one of the most talented musical directors in Rochester, New York. We had a fabulous conversation with him, and by next week we will know if we will be able to bring his Rochester talent to New York City audiences.
Things are happening! Great things! and it is a great feeling when things fall into place!
